Dear SMS Families,

Welcome back! We are so excited to have our students, staff, and families together again for another year of learning, growth, and community. The start of the school year has already been filled with energy and connection as we kicked things off with: 

• Our School Council–supported Welcome Back Mix N’ Mingle 

• Family Orientation events 

• The launch of Volleyball, Golf, and Cross-Country seasons next week 

• Preparations for our Terry Fox Run on September 19 

• And, of course, classes already in full swing! 

We are so grateful for your continued support in making these opportunities possible, and we look forward to welcoming more of you into the building as we host games, events, and celebrations throughout the year. 

As we begin this new school year, we are reminding students of the importance of kindness, respect, and responsibility—values that help create the safe and caring environment we are so proud of at SMS. Together, with your partnership, we are building a culture where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to do their best.
